Harry E. Gould, Jr., President of Gould Paper Corporation, New York City, announced the appointment of Takahiro Miyata as Executive Vice President, Business Development.
Mr. Gould stated, "The appointment of Mr. Miyata permits Gould to more clearly focus on those business opportunities within Gould and throughout the Japan Pulp and Paper worldwide network that will maximize the JPP and Gould product offering to their respective customer bases".
Mr. Miyata is a native of Japan and currently resides in Tuckahoe, N.Y. He is a graduate of Kansai University in Osaka. Mr. Miyata has spent his entire business career with JPP. During this 19 year period, he held various sales and marketing positions in Japan as well as other locations, including Düsseldorf, Atlanta, and Los Angeles. In the Los Angeles office, Mr. Miyata served as President of JPP USA from May 2009 to August 2010, until his appointment to his new position at Gould.
Mr. Gould further stated, "We are fortunate to have someone with Mr. Miyata's broad range of paper and international experience. Mr. Miyata is a most welcomed addition to the Gould team. In his new position, he will be responsible for business development and the newly formed specialty papers division headed up by Meyer Weiss. In his new capacity, Mr. Miyata will be reporting to me".
